Programme Director – D365 Transformation

Are you an experienced Programme Director / Delivery Lead with a strong track record delivering large-scale D365 (Finance & Operations) transformation programmes? Our client, a major consulting organisation, is expanding its national D365 practice and is seeking two high-impact leaders to join their growing team. This is a rare opportunity to step into a highly visible, client-facing leadership role, shaping and delivering major D365 transformation programmes.

The Opportunity

You'll join a rapidly scaling practice with ambitious growth plans, strong client relationships, and a robust pipeline of follow-on work. You'll work directly with senior client stakeholders, lead multi-disciplinary delivery teams, and play a pivotal role in ensuring complex D365 programmes land successfully.

This role requires someone who is hands-on, pragmatic, and viewed as a "safe pair of hands" in the delivery environment—someone who brings real depth in programme leadership alongside strong fundamentals in planning, governance, RAID management, financials, and stakeholder control.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading end-to-end delivery of multi-million-pound D365 Finance transformation programmes
  • Engaging directly with C-suite and senior client stakeholders with minimal Partner oversight
  • Overseeing cross-functional workstreams (testing, data, training, reporting, change)
  • Providing delivery assurance and ensuring commercial models, estimates, and commercials are robust
  • Aligning solution design with client needs and supporting reusable asset deployment
  • Collaborating with onshore, nearshore and offshore development capabilities
  • Working closely with Microsoft on go-to-market alignment and solution shaping
  • Managing scope, risks, and complex business process requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Deep experience delivering Dynamics 365 F&O
    and wider ERP transformation
  • Background in consulting (Tier 1, Big 4, large SI, or specialist Microsoft partner)
  • Strong delivery leadership experience in programmes circa £5m+
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and lead teams confidently
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and executive-level engagement skills
  • Ability and willingness to be highly visible on client site
  • Sector experience in the private sector, ideally mid-market
