Job Overview

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Dog Trainer to join our friendly daycare team full-time. This role is ideal for someone who loves working hands-on with dogs every day and wants to be part of a growing business.

You will be responsible for running group training classes, one-to-one sessions with clients, and supporting the Daycare Manager with the daily running of our busy daycare. This includes helping manage dog groups, ensuring safety and enrichment, and maintaining a positive environment for all dogs and staff.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of dog behaviour, strong communication skills, and a calm, confident approach to handling dogs of all breeds and temperaments.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver group training sessions, including a weekly evening puppy class.
  • Conduct one-to-one dog training sessions (with 50% commission per session).
  • Support the Daycare Manager with day-to-day operations and group management.
  • Travel to clients' homes or local areas for one-to-one sessions when required.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and enriching daycare environment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing advice and training support.
  • Contribute ideas to improve the daycare and training services as part of a collaborative team.

Requirements

  • Qualified Dog Trainer
  • Previous experience as a dog trainer or strong background in canine behaviour/training.
  • Confident working hands-on with dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to reliable transport.
  • Passion for positive, reward-based training methods.

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • One evening per week for puppy class (included in contracted hours)
