Part-Time Dog Handler - Holiday Cover /Part time

At Noah’s Ark Environmental Services, we’re looking for a dependable, practical individual to join our team as an part-time dog handler. This role supports **holiday cover, with all shifts confirmed well in advance.**This **may include a full week in some**instances.

Shifts are scheduled based on cover requirements and include a mix of day, night, and weekend work—ideal for someone who loves to **drive**, enjoys responsibility and **supporting dogs animal welfare**, and purposeful work.

What you’ll be doing:

- Handling and transporting stray and seized dogs, including large and occasionally dangerous breeds
- Prioritising jobs and planning routes to respond efficiently to each situation
- Adapting your approach depending on the dog and environment
- Working closely with a committed, professional team
- Accurately completing records and Excel grids
- Engaging with members of the public and other agencies with a professional and calm telephone manner
- Optional support with rehoming or warrant work, if this is of interest

Please note:
What you’ll bring:

- Previous dog handling experience is preferred
- A calm, confident approach with strong handling skills
- Familiarity with using Excel and maintaining accurate records
- A clear and friendly communication style, especially over the phone
- A full manual UK driving licence (an automatic licence is not sufficient for this role)
- Reliability, sound judgement, and a team-focused attitude
- Full clean drivers license.
- All employees are DBS checked.

Full training will be provided, and you’ll be supported by a knowledgeable, passionate team.
