About The Opportunity
IG Group is at a pivotal moment in its growth journey. The business is undergoing a significant transformation — evolving its strategy, operating model, leadership culture, and organisational capability to fuel ambitious global growth.

At the heart of this evolution is talent. As part of the Learning & Development team, you will be responsible for helping us building out our development offering for all staff (with a particular focus on our Senior Leaders and People Managers). You will work with the Head of Talent & Performance to shape & improve capability across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Talk to users and other business stakeholders to conduct learning needs analysis by cohort to understand "bottom-up" requirements from L&D products
  • Defining what each L&D product needs to cover: understanding learner needs, defining appropriate learning objectives, linking each product with a cohesive learning journey
  • Designing and implementing the products:
  • For in-house; design high quality products and agree how the products will be implemented (who will facilitate, how frequently it will run etc…)
  • For external; help with vendor selection and vendor management
  • Assessing impact from our L&D programmes, beyond simple user-reported measures like learner NPS, to thoughtful approaches that help us understand what is and isn't working
  • Developing our approach to key L&D priorities – onboarding new hires, helping people understand our product/business better, training for people managers, performance training, working with compliance to improve their training offer, etc…

What We're Looking For
We are looking for an experienced L&D expert who has a track record of building quality learning experiences in house, can help understand priority learner needs across different cohorts, has built end-to-end learning journeys (including potentially working with best-in-class 3rd party vendors) and has helped embed a learning culture across their organisations.

Skills & Attributes

  • Experienced L&D partner: Has experience partnering and co-creating with HR teams and users directly
  • User-centric: Has experience in building quality learning products, with thoughtful learner experience and that meets tangible learning needs.
  • Commercially focused: Is able to understand the business context and align development offer with business goals.
  • Operationally effective: Will take ownership over the strategy for a particular user group, the plan to operationalise training, the design of content and the execution of the creation / delivery of that content.
  • Data-Driven: Uses qualitative data (e.g., user insight) and quantitative data (e.g., engagement data) to assess quality of L&D products and steer priorities.

We are also looking for someone willing to experiment with how they work to make L&D more impactful in the business. Taking lessons from Product and Design and thinking about Learning as a lever for commercial impact are both critical in this role.

It is an opportunity for a proactive, people-centric, effective L&D Expert to partner with the business to put development at the heart of IG's growth ambitions. If you're passionate about building quality learning products, rethinking L&D strategies, and shaping the future capability of a fast-evolving fintech business — this is your opportunity.
