We're looking for a confident and proactive Procurement Business Partner to join our team. What you'll be doing

  • Leading the development and implementation of the Greatwell Homes Procurement Plan to ensure compliance with Procurement Act 2023 and delivery of value for money.
  • Working closely with colleagues across the organisation to understand procurement needs and provide a proactive, agile service.
  • Monitoring business trends, product availability and total spend to secure the best goods and services without compromising quality or delivery times.
  • Researching new products and services that support the Corporate Plan.
  • Updating procurement policies and procedures and co-ordinating e-tendering activity.
  • Managing category and supplier performance, including due diligence, contract management and maintaining the preferred supplier list.
  • Keeping procurement documentation up-to-date and easily accessible on the intranet and website.
  • Maintaining the Contract Register and ensuring compliance with Financial Regulations and Contract Standing Orders.
  • Building strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Developing and monitoring procurement-related risks and reporting to relevant teams.
  • Acting as Lead Officer for Value for Money, including maintaining the efficiency register and supporting the production of an up-to-date VFM statement.
  • Attending internal and external meetings with suppliers and contractors.
  • Supporting cross-team working and contributing to the delivery of the Corporate Plan.

About you

  • Degree-level education or equivalent through relevant training/experience.
  • Experience co-ordinating internal and external procurement activities.
  • Experience working with Procurement Act 2023 and Public Contracts Regulations.
  • Experience in project management, delivering on time and to budget.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
