Salary: £41,000 per annum

Role Summary:  

The Assistant Head of South or North role is crucial to the running of the South or North Work Experience Team and line management of Account Managers. The Assistant Head will do this whilst also managing some accounts themselves to support the team. Working closely with the Head of Work Experience, the role will be responsible for managing the flow of work requests to Account Managers and help in managing capacity amongst the team. The role will help to ensure a consistency in the activities Account Managers undertake and the quality of these activities. We are keen to hear from anyone in the organisation.  

Key Duties / Responsibilities 

Strategic Purpose: 

• Line management of a team of Account Managers in the South or North responsible for supporting and coordinating the delivery of programmatic interventions.  
• Responsible for the team's end-to-end delivery of opportunities from initial programme scoping with non-income generating employers to securing commitments, monitoring young person applications, programme design and implementation, and employer follow up. 
• Responsible for embedding a high-quality approach to work experience within the team and utilizing the FFA work experience models informed by best practice.  

Engagement: 

• Working closely with the Head of Work Experience to manage spread of accounts to Managers and allocating requests. 
• Working closely with the team to set targets and goals and conduct review sessions to ensure an effective team.  
• Lead a data driven approach to reporting with the team providing data as needed to Heads and Director of Work Experience.  
• Providing training, advice and upskilling to Account Managers. 
• Responsible for the teams' account management of corporate partnerships as agreed by the development team 
• Securing commitments from employers to deliver against their own multi-day work experience opportunities. 
• Account management for employers throughout their work experience journey. 
• Supporting the account management of corporate partners by delivering on their work experience programmes as agreed by the business development team and coordinating with other programme teams to ensure committed delivery takes place. 
• Training employers to use FFA products in the coordination and delivery of their placements, including but not limited to Portal and Google Classroom. 
• Working closely with Delivery Partners to ensure seamless delivery of work experience opportunities. 
• Leading on all employer engagement and meetings with your dedicated accounts. 
• Developing and disseminating impact reports to employers at the end of their contract and in line with impact and evaluation framework. 
• Working closely with Education team to ensure school engagement in areas of work experience activity and in line with charity's target areas. 

Delivery: 

• Meet with line managers to support and track progress against team and individual targets  
• Ensuring clarity on how accounts are managed and how Account Managers can support Employers. 
• Following department processes for work experience when necessary and updating systems accordingly. 
• Supporting with CRM and data management, inputting new data and maintaining existing records regarding placements and contacts. 
• Support the Head of South or North with weekly and monthly reporting. 
• Use the HR system to line-manage Account Managers and review progress.

• Adherence to data compliance, standards, guidelines and best practices to ensure our data integrity and consistency.

Essential 

• Confident in working with people and facilitating development conversations  
• Experience in a similar environment working with a variety of stakeholders

• Comfort and experience in working with technology and data management

Desirable 

• Experience of line management and motivating a team  
• Experience working / creating networks in the South or North of the UK 
• Experience of account management 
• Previous experience working with HR/Recruitment/CSR/Engagement teams an advantage 
• An understanding of the UK Education System and a familiarity with careers provision within UK schools and colleges would be an advantage 
• Proficient use of the Salesforce CRM, to track relationships and ensure proper data management 
• Interpreting and using data in Excel and PowerBi 
• Experience working / creating networks in the South or North of the UK
