The Role

The AI Analyst acts as the critical bridge between business need and agentic execution. You'll explore, challenge, and reinvent processes to create better-than-human experiences mapping human workflows, identifying where intelligence can act autonomously, and shaping requirements that enable AI agents to perform effectively in real business environments.

You'll sit at the intersection of strategy, design, and automation, working with RiverAI's Pods (Strategy, Build, and Run) to define how digital workers think, act, and learn.

What You'll Do

• Engage with clients to understand business processes, goals, and pain points, translating them into AI-ready use cases.
• Lead discovery sessions to identify where agentic AI can enhance, replace, or augment human workflows.
• Create detailed AI Business Requirement Documents (AI-BRDs) outlining inputs, data needs, decision flows, guardrails, and success metrics.
• Collaborate with AI Solution Architects, Experience Designers, and AI Engineers to prototype and validate intelligent digital workers.
• Define human-in-the-loop (HITL) and AI-in-the-loop models, ensuring safe, measurable, explainable and auditable outcomes.
• Help organisations navigate AI readiness and governance, contributing to frameworks aligned with ISO 42001 and NIST AI RMF.
• Continuously assess process performance, iterating and improving how intelligent agents interact with people, systems, and data.

You'll Succeed If You

• Think in systems: you can see the patterns between people, processes, and technology creating a total experience that enhances out clients USP.
• Are fluent in business process mapping, design thinking, requirements gathering, and workflow design.
• Have experience with automation, data, or AI tools (RPA, BPM, LLMs, , LangChain, etc.).
• Understand how intelligence flows, whether human or machine, and can translate that into structured design.
• Thrive in ambiguity and rapid iteration, balancing creative thinking with analytical rigour and seeing patterns other people just can't see.
• Love asking "why?" until the real problem reveals itself.

Skills & Experience

• 3+ years in business analysis, process design, or automation strategy
• Strong understanding of process mapping, requirements gathering, and workflow optimisation.
• Knowledge of data and integration principles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Curious, creative, analytical thinker who enjoys solving complex problems.

Desirable Experience

• Experience with AI/ML, process mining, automation frameworks, or agent-based systems.
• Experience with automation or AI platforms (e.g., , UiPath, LangChain, or similar).
• Familiarity with agile and lean methodologies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
