Responsibilities
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and confident Senior Event Account Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of events across our key client accounts. This role requires strategic oversight and hands-on project management—from sourcing suppliers and managing logistics to on-site execution and financial reconciliation.
You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing creativity with process, and be skilled in managing budgets (including multi-currency finances), producing compelling proposals, and building strong client and supplier relationships. Whether working independently or collaborating with the wider team, your goal will be to deliver high-quality, impactful events that elevate the client experience.
To be successful in this role, you'll already be operating as an Event Manager or Senior Account Manager within an events, experiential, or integrated agency (or in-house with relevant scope). You'll bring experience managing a variety of event formats, such as conferences, incentives, product launches, exhibitions, and gala dinners, and will be a strong communicator with a flair for creativity and meticulous attention to detail as well as able to manage clients of various levels of seniority.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, acting as their key point of contact throughout project lifecycles.
- Develop and manage project timelines, proposals, and logistics across various event types.
- Lead end-to-end event planning, including venue sourcing, vendor coordination, delegate management, and on-site delivery.
- Manage and reconcile event budgets with precision, including multi-currency forecasting and cost control.
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to optimise service levels and costs.
- Create engaging, detailed proposals and pitch documentation to support business growth.
- Collaborate with creative and production teams to bring event concepts to life.
- Produce post-event evaluations and client reports, using insights to drive future improvements.
- Oversee junior team members where required, providing leadership and clear direction.
- Maintain accurate CRM data and manage tools such as CVENT, Salesforce, and Asana.
- Stay updated on global venue trends and industry developments, attending site visits and networking events as appropriate.
- Travel as required for on-site support and client meetings, both domestically and internationally.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years' experience in event management or account management within the events industry.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver exceptional client service.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience managing large-scale budgets and proposals across multiple currencies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), with experience using CRM platforms, CVENT and project management tools a bonus.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing or mentoring junior team members.
- High level of attention to detail, organisational skills, and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrate strong creativity in event design, proposal writing (either in Canva or PPT) and be able to show creative ideation, following event trends.
- Experience pitching events, ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience delivering RFP's.
- Ideal candidate will have previous experience in the cosmetics, beauty, FMCG or luxury sectors.
- Ability to travel for client site visits, events, and occasional out-of-hours support both with the UK and internationally.
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a bonus).
