HKA is seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Forensic Fire Engineer to join our growing Forensic Technical Services (FTS) team. This is a unique opportunity to transition into forensic claims consultancy and work alongside industry-leading experts on complex, high-profile disputes across the UK and internationally.

What You'll Do:
- Lead technical analysis on fire engineering issues within complex construction and infrastructure disputes.
- Collaborate with expert teams to deliver high-quality forensic reports and insights that support legal proceedings and client outcomes.
- Act as a trusted advisor to legal teams and clients, offering clarity and expertise on fire safety regulations and standards.
- Support appointed Expert Witnesses, contributing to multidisciplinary expert teams and helping shape case strategy.
- Provide peer review and quality assurance across deliverables, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and technical excellence.
- Contribute to the growth of the FTS practice by sharing knowledge, mentoring junior colleagues, and driving innovation in fire engineering consultancy.
What you'll bring:
- A degree in Fire Engineering or a closely related discipline, with deep technical expertise built over 10+ years in consultancy.
- A strong understanding of UK and international fire regulations, with experience applying standards across jurisdictions.
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly—both in writing and verbally—to clients, legal teams, and peers.
- Experience in forensic analysis or a keen interest in transitioning into expert witness work, with support from HKA to develop in this area.
- A collaborative mindset, with the confidence to contribute to high-stakes projects and the humility to learn from others.
