Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in system design and mechanical knowledge, with experience in construction and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. As a Fire Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of fire protection systems within various projects. You will work with a small team, so being a team player is essential.

Duties

  • Design and develop fire protection systems in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing fire protection measures and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper installation of fire safety systems.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools for installation, maintenance, and repair of fire protection equipment.
  • Provide technical support and guidance during the construction phase, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
  • Perform inspections and testing of fire protection systems to verify functionality and compliance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in system design, particularly within the fire protection industry.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems is advantageous for integration purposes.
  • Background in construction is preferred, with an understanding of building regulations related to fire safety.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
