Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and personable Sales Assistant to join our retail team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service, promoting our products, and supporting the overall store operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are organised, communicative, and passionate about retail sales. Fluency in multiple languages, particularly English and Spanish, is highly desirable to assist our diverse customer base.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
  • Provide product information and recommendations to enhance customer experience
  • Support merchandising efforts by organising displays and ensuring stock is well-presented
  • Upsell products to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining excellent customer service standards
  • Handle transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and process payments efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the sales floor and stockroom
  • Manage phone enquiries professionally, demonstrating good phone etiquette
  • Assist with stock replenishment and inventory management
  • Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth store operations

Skills

  • Multilingual abilities, especially fluency in English and Spanish, are highly advantageous
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with customers and team members
  • Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts accurately
  • Excellent time management to prioritise duties and meet sales targets
  • Proficient phone etiquette for professional customer interactions over the phone
  • Ability to upsell products tactfully to increase sales revenue
  • Merchandising skills to create attractive product displays that appeal to customers
