Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service.
  • Handle food safety procedures diligently, maintaining cleanliness standards in all preparation areas.
  • Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including organising ingredients and supplies.
  • Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment safely and effectively.
  • Manage cash register transactions accurately, including handling payments and giving correct change.
  • Maintain a tidy work environment by cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly.
  • Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and promote products or specials when appropriate.
  • Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe environment for colleagues and customers.

Skills

  • Proven Barista experience or strong interest in developing skills within the coffee industry.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards to ensure hygienic practices are maintained at all times.
  • Experience in serving customers with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Ability to assist with food preparation tasks efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods while maintaining quality service.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
  • Organised with keen attention to detail to ensure consistency in beverage quality and cleanliness standards. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: Up to £13.50 per hour
