We are seeking an experienced QA Lead to define and drive the quality assurance strategy for our product features and components. This role involves leading a cross-functional QA team, integrating AI-assisted testing practices, and ensuring delivery excellence across multiple environments and platforms.

Role Overview

You will lead functional and automation testers, collaborate with developers and product owners, and own QA planning, execution, and reporting. You'll bring an AI-first mindset to testing, using AI tools to accelerate and enhance quality processes while mentoring others to do the same.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement a comprehensive QA strategy across features and releases.
  • Lead and mentor a team of functional and automation testers.
  • Collaborate with developers, BAs, and product owners to validate acceptance criteria using AI-assisted testing workflows.
  • Own test planning, execution, reporting, and sign-off across environments.
  • Establish and maintain reusable QA frameworks, tools, and best practices.
  • Manage distributed QA resources and coordinate with offshore teams.
  • Document QA processes for scalability across multiple projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement in functionality, design, and usability.
  • Ensure quality gates are met before each release.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years of experience in QA (manual + automation).
  • Excellent communication skills in English; able to lead and collaborate globally.
  • Strong consulting mindset — proactive, innovative, and persuasive.
  • Experience leading teams in Agile/Scrum or Kanban environments.
  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience creating and executing end-to-end test plans.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working with US time zones (late start preferred).
  • Hands-on with Azure DevOps for test management, boards, and pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps Pipelines for build and deployment.
  • Ability to interpret business requirements and design AI-assisted test scenarios.

Functional Testing

  • Expertise in manual test creation, execution, and defect tracking.
  • Strong grasp of Agile QA processes and traceability methods.
  • Experience defining smoke, regression, and UAT test scopes.

Automation Testing

  • Proficiency in (mandatory); experience with Cypress, Selenium, Appium, or WebdriverIO is a plus.
  • Experience with API testing using Postman/Newman.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, BlazeMeter).
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Docker).
  • Experience designing automation architectures with abstraction and reusability (e.g., POM, modular design).
  • Strong programming background: C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, HTML, CSS.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude).
  • Prompt engineering for AI-assisted test generation and validation.
