Job Summary

Cakes and Bakes, Orpington is looking for a skilled and passionate Cake Chef to join our team. We're seeking someone with a love for cake making and decorating, a strong creative flair, and a commitment to delivering beautifully crafted cakes of the highest quality.

Responsibilities

  • Decorate cakes according to customer specifications and company standards, utilising various techniques and edible decorations.
  • Should be able to create innovative cake designs.
  • Maintain high levels of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety at all times.
  • Manage multiple orders and deadlines efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively within a friendly kitchen team.
  • Assist in the development of new cake designs and seasonal decorations to enhance product offerings.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding customisation requests and provide excellent service throughout the ordering process.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Cake Chef / Cake Decorator / Pastry Chef, or similar role.
  • Strong decorating and artistic skills with neat handwriting.
  • Excellent knowledge of ingredients and decoration techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and under time pressure.
