Responsibilities

• Prepare and decorate a variety of cakes, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation
• Decorate cakes with intricate designs, colours, and themes according to customer specifications
• Follow recipes accurately while also applying creative flair to custom orders
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery workspace in compliance with food safety standards
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting overall kitchen operations
• Monitor ingredients stock levels and notify management when supplies need replenishing
• Ensure all baked goods meet quality control standards before delivery or display

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food production, baking, or culinary roles within a bakery or restaurant environment
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
• Demonstrable skills in food preparation, cooking, and decorating cakes with precision
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen or restaurant setting is desirable
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy environment
• Organised, detail-oriented, with excellent time management skills
• Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential
