Remote UK England UK Northern Ireland, United Kingdom TotalMobile Full time £50,000 - £100,000 per year

At Totalmobile, we're passionate about transforming how field services are delivered — and improving the working lives of the people who deliver them. As the UK's leading Field Service Management (FSM) provider, our software empowers over 1,000 organisations and 500,000 mobile workers across the UK and Ireland to work smarter, safer, and more efficiently. With around 400 employees and one of the fastest-growing SaaS portfolios in the sector, we're expanding rapidly into Australia, Canada, and the Nordics — and this is your chance to be part of that journey.

Why Join Totalmobile?
Our integrated FSM product suite, Field First, has been shaped through years of innovation, organic growth, and eight strategic acquisitions in the last five years. This momentum has positioned us as one of the UK's most exciting software companies, with a cloud platform that's constantly evolving and scaling. As a Database Administrator, you'll play a critical role in maintaining data security, performance, and availability while supporting the needs of Totalmobile data data-driven operations.

The Opportunity
In this role, you will be the driving force behind designing, implementing, and maintaining databases to support a variety of applications and systems. Your expertise will be crucial in monitoring databases, identifying and resolving issues, and optimising performance. As part of a collaborative cross-functional team, you will translate business requirements into efficient database structures and configurations.

Security is of utmost importance to us, and you will play a vital role in managing access controls to safeguard sensitive data from unauthorised access, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Additionally, you will oversee database backups, recovery procedures, and contribute to capacity planning and scalability to meet our growing business needs.

Skills and Experience
Suppose you're a Database Administrator with at least three years' experience and a strong track record in MSSQL administration, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring. In that case, this role offers the opportunity to work across modern cloud environments, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Managed Instance, RDS, and Aurora. You'll bring deep knowledge of database security best practices, the ability to craft complex SQL queries and scripts, and familiarity with cloud monitoring and optimisation tools. With a solid understanding of backup and recovery procedures in Azure and AWS, you'll be confident in planning capacity and scaling databases across diverse deployments.

While experience with MySQL or Postgres is a bonus, it isn't essential — and if you've previously used PowerShell, Python, ARM templates, or Bicep to automate or optimise processes, even better.

We're looking for someone with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Here at Totalmobile, we want our employees to feel valued, appreciated, and free to be themselves at work. We are committed to an inclusive workforce that fully represents many different cultures, backgrounds and viewpoints. We are dedicated to supporting inclusion and diversity at Totalmobile. We actively celebrate colleagues' different abilities, sexual orientation, ethnicity, faith, and gender. Everyone is welcome and supported in their development at all stages in their journey with us.
