This is an ideal opportunity to join our team here at Haylie House in Largs, a vibrant residential care home with an excellent reputation for the quality of care we provide for our residents.

Hours and rate of pay
· 18 hours per week - contracted hours are worked on a 3 week rolling rota over 7 days
· £13.12 per hour
Essential Experience / Criteria
A Carer will be:
- A motivated and caring individual.
- Able to maintain accurate written records of residents' daily activities.
- Able to communicate effectively with other members of the staff team, residents and their relatives
- Working towards an SVQ 3 in Health and Social Care
- Have a legal right to work in the UK
Experience supporting older people, including those living with dementia, is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote a homely, therapeutic environment, which encourages independence and meets the needs of each individual.
- Safeguard the residents at all times.
- Assist and support residents with all identified care need in line with the Health & Social Care Standards.
- Be a Key Worker for selected residents through being involved with care plan reviews with Senior Staff and family members.
- Promote mental and physical wellbeing of residents through engaging and interactive activities.
