Senior Quantity Surveyor

Due to continued project growth within the Defence Sector, we are recruiting a client-facing Senior Quantity Surveyor to take a lead role in delivering high-profile construction projects throughout the UK.

Based in an amazing Central London office, you will take full commercial ownership of one or more projects—driving cost control, managing risks and opportunities, and leading a high-performing supply chain to ensure successful delivery across time, cost, quality, carbon, and social value targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Senior Quantity Surveyor will oversee all project commercial activities, including cost planning, forecasting, procurement, and change management.
  • The Senior Quantity Surveyor will implement and manage cost, commercial, and supply chain strategies to achieve project performance targets.
  • The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for ensuring accurate scopes, budgets, contract documentation, and supplier performance management on projects ranging from £20m - £100m..
  • The Senior Quantity Surveyor will support the Commercial Lead with negotiation of contracts and commercial agreements.

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND

  • The Senior Quantity Surveyor will have demonstrable experience in a senior commercial or senior quantity surveying role within the construction sector.
  • Strong track record of managing multiple projects and working to NEC contracts.
  • Experience in procurement, subcontractor management, and commercial negotiation on large scale construction projects.
  • Must be able to secure Security Clearance – minimum BPSS
