We are seeking experienced Piping Engineer to join our multidiscipline Engineering team on a contract basis. The role will report into to our Lead Piping Engineer and will work on a specific FEED Project with the option to extend into detailed design.

Our ideal individual will have previous experience of working at Engineer level on projects within the chemical and or pharmaceutical industries. Previous experience of FEED is essential.

We operate a hybrid working week with three days per week spent in our project office based in Hessle, East Yorkshire.

In this role, you will take ownership of the piping design process, ensuring that deliverables meet our client's piping specification standards and adhere to engineering codes and industry best practices. You will be at the forefront of developing cost-effective piping design solutions while collaborating with a wide range of engineering teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of work instructions for the piping design package, ensuring all deliverables meet client specifications.
  • Act as the single-point responsibility for all piping-related deliverables, ensuring they comply with engineering codes, client policies, and project standards.
  • Drive innovation in piping design methods and procedures to enhance cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Provide expert guidance on technical queries related to piping engineering and design, ensuring the team remains on track.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure that piping designs are integrated and of the highest quality.
  • Interpret cloud scan data and 3D modelling software to design optimal piping routes and layouts, mitigating the risk of clashes.
  • Oversee the piping layout, stress analysis, procurement activities, and design reviews, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.
