Role Description

This is a full-time on-site and mobile role for a Plant Fitter, located in St Neots. The Plant Fitter will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of plant machinery such as diggers, dumpers, rollers, and telehandlers. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring all equipment operates effectively and safely. The Plant Fitter will also ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain detailed records of work performed. Work van provided.

Qualifications

  • Experience in mechanical maintenance and repair of plant machinery
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and customer service orientation
  • Relevant technical certification or vocational training is a plus
  • Previous experience in a similar role, particularly within plant hire or construction industries, is advantageous
