Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Hotel Receptionist to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a welcoming environment and providing exceptional guest services. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of hospitality management, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Hours of work

Monday 7.30am-3pm

Tuesday 7.30am-3pm

Friday 7.30am-3pm

Weekends 7.30am-Varied time

Not required to work every weekend however the rota is fair between other receptionists. More hours may be given to cover holidays

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
  • Manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy, handling guest inquiries and reservations
  • Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services to enhance guest experience
  • Handle guest requests promptly, including room changes and special accommodations
  • Maintain accurate records of reservations, billing, and guest information using hotel management software
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Conduct cash up procedure daily and ensure financial accuracy
  • Uphold high standards of phone etiquette and guest relations at all times
  • Work alongside our events and restaurant departments with admin duties

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality management or hotel front desk operations preferred
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Knowledge of hotel management systems and multi-line phone systems is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to handle stressful situations professionally and efficiently
  • Familiarity with resort or hotel environments is advantageous
  • Hospitality or hotel experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
