Your new role

  • An exciting opportunity for an IT Infrastructure & Security Manager to join our team.
  • This position is responsible for owning the secure design, implementation, and operation of the organisation's core technology platforms across on-premises and cloud.
  • Own and manage servers, networks, storage, and cloud platforms to ensure stability, security, and scalability.
  • Monitor and optimise performance across on-prem and cloud environments, ensuring high availability and well-planned maintenance.
  • Define and maintain security baselines, standards, and guardrails.
  • Configure tenant security controls, conditional access, device compliance, and data protection policies.
  • Manage firewall policies and change reviews; drive effective patching and vulnerability remediation.
  • Maintain security monitoring, alerts, and incident response processes.
  • Lead infrastructure projects aligned with organisational goals.
  • Support planning of objectives, budgets, policies, and technical roadmaps.
  • Translate business requirements into project plans and drive continuous improvement across systems and processes.

About You

  • Excellent customer service, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised with strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong experience with NAC, VLANs, segmentation, VPNs, routing (BGP), and firewall management.
  • Skilled in configuring switches/routers and designing resilient, scalable network solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS environments, cost optimisation, and resource scaling.
  • Proficient with virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix) and disaster recovery across cloud and on-prem.
  • Solid understanding of security frameworks, access controls, RBAC, firewall rules, endpoint security, and patching.
  • Experience with Entra ID, M365, and Intune security configuration.
  • Strong Windows Server and Active Directory administration skills.
  • Experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and Office 365 management.
  • Experience with SAN/NAS storage, backups, and retention policies is desirable.
  • Power Shell (plus Python or batch scripting), automation, and task scheduling experience is desirable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
