Bank Admin Assistant
The Role
As the Private Patient Administrator, you will provide administrative support to the Private Patient Manager and include direct customer contact to facilitate the private patient journey, ensuring delivery of excellent customer service and growth in private patient volumes. This is an extremely busy role liaising with patients, consultants, and all hospital departments.
We need an individual with a professional approach, excellent verbal communication skills, initiative, and the ability to work within a team. You must be computer literate – experience with Word and Outlook being essential. Previous use of an Electronic Patient Record system would be an advantage.
We are looking for the successful candidate to join us on a Bank contract, working hours available: Monday 10am-6pm, Thursday 10am-6pm and Saturday 9am -1pm.
High-level duties include:
Handle all enquiries and book appointments via telephone, email or social media
Provide detailed information to patient enquiries whilst delivering excellent customer service
Build and maintain excellent relationships with internal hospital teams, consultants, medical secretaries and external stakeholders to ensure appointments are converted
Maintain contact with potential patients to ensure they are satisfied with the progress of their enquiry
Scanning & auditing of patient information
What you'll bring with you
Proven track record of achieving targets whilst maintaining an outstanding level of customer service
An excellent standard of computer literacy to include experience in Word & Excel
The ability to work under pressure whilst remaining patient/ consumer focused
Experience working in a private healthcare setting is preferred
Good attention to detail and accuracy
The ability to make decisions and use your initiative
A flexible and positive attitude

What is a Bank Contract:
A Bank contract at Ramsay Health Care UK is a flexible employment agreement where you are not committed to a set number of hours per week. Instead, you work on an ad-hoc basis, filling in shifts that we have available in our hospitals. A Bank contract is ideal for individuals seeking flexibility, as it allows you to choose shifts that fit your availability, leaving you with a greater work-life balance. Bank contracts are also a fantastic way to secure additional income alongside other contracted work. Our Bank staff play a crucial role in maintaining service levels during peak times or staff shortages, ensuring that patient care remains uninterrupted.
