Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our domicilliary care team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being in their own homes. This role is vital in promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those in home care.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide support with mobility and heavy lifting when required.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with specific needs.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health status.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Support clients with dementia care by providing reassurance and companionship.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individual care plans.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care, senior care, or patient care is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
- A caring attitude and a commitment to enhancing the lives of others.
- Relevant qualifications in health or social care would be beneficial but are not mandatory.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Full UK Drivers License required.
- There is No visa sponsorship for this role.
