Overview

A respected and forward-thinking accountancy practice is seeking a motivated
Part-Qualified Client Manager
to join its growing team. This hybrid role offers flexibility, professional development, and the opportunity to take ownership of a client portfolio while progressing through ACA or ACCA qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients under the guidance of senior management, acting as the first point of contact for day-to-day queries.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, management reports, and tax returns.
  • Support clients with bookkeeping, VAT, and compliance matters, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Build strong professional relationships with clients, offering practical advice and proactive communication.
  • Identify areas where clients may benefit from additional services or process improvements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the practice to ensure consistent service delivery and efficient workflow management.
  • Continue to develop technical knowledge and progress towards full qualification.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Actively studying towards ACA or ACCA qualification.
  • Experience within an accountancy practice, ideally managing or assisting with client portfolios.
  • Sound understanding of UK accounting standards and tax compliance.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship management skills.
  • Competent in the use of accounting software, ideally Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience supporting SMEs or owner-managed businesses.
  • A genuine interest in developing advisory skills alongside compliance work.
  • Confidence in handling client communications and contributing to client meetings.
