Being a Nursery Chef at Kids Planet gives you the opportunity to work Monday to Friday, NO WEEKENDS or BANK HOLIDAYS and allows you to be inventive creating menus and giving our children access to delicious tasting meals.

We're looking for a Multi-site Nursery Chef to join our team. You'll work closely with our dedicated Kitchen Assistants to deliver high-quality meals across six settings. We need someone who's ready to get stuck in, inspire creativity, and help children thrive

How you'll make a difference as a Multi-site Nursery Chef:

Prepare and cook food to the Company standard, ensuring healthy meals and snacks for children of all ages.

To take full charge of the kitchen working alongside the catering assistants.

To manage Kitchen Assistants on a day-to-day basis including holidays, absence, grievance etc.

Comply with Health and Safety Company policies and legislation.

Duties Include physical work i.e. lifting heavy pans, carrying boxes with hot food, unloading deliveries.

Completion of all relevant paperwork i.e. Transfer sheets, Daily Diary (HACCAP), Menu Planning.

Responsible for all ordering.

Usage of Famly to collect correct information on numbers and dietary requirements.

What a Multi-site Nursery Chef needs:

Previous management experience, preferably withing a catering setting

Positive, approachable attitude.

Food Hygiene knowledge and/or certificate.

Safeguarding certificate

Full DBS clearance.

Ability to take direction and meet deadlines.

Comfortable being around children and willingness to interact with them and encourage eating.

Car driver desirable
