Responsibilities Prepare and cook food to the Company standard, ensuring healthy meals and snacks for children of all ages. Take full charge of the kitchen working alongside the catering assistants. Manage Kitchen Assistants on a day‑to‑day basis including holidays, absence, grievance etc. Comply with Health and Safety Company policies and legislation. Perform physical work such as lifting heavy pans, carrying boxes with hot food, unloading deliveries. Complete all relevant paperwork, e.g. Transfer sheets, Daily Diary (HACCAP), Menu Planning. Be responsible for all ordering. Use Famly to collect correct information on numbers and dietary requirements. Qualifications Previous management experience, preferably within a catering setting. Positive, approachable attitude. Food Hygiene knowledge and/or certificate. Safeguarding certificate. Full DBS clearance. Ability to take direction and meet deadlines. Comfortable being around children and willingness to interact with them and encourage eating. Car driver desirable.
