We have a fantastic opportunity for a Wellbeing Coordinator to join the team at HMP Leeds, a busy category B prison located in Leeds Centre.
This is a crucial role within the mental health team, making a real difference to patients, and delivering outstanding care.
This role offers excellent developmental opportunities and is a great environment to build on your experience within mental health. We are looking for someone with a real passion for helping others - this role allows you to make a real difference to patients
This role would be ideal for a mental health care assistant / support worker looking for the next step in their career
Hours:
This is a full time role, 37.5 hours per week, working Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:00.
Salary:
This position is full time ,you'll receive an annual salary of up to £29,723 per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doingAs our new Wellbeing Coordinator, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:
- Run psychosocial groups and 1-1s, working with male patients who have been referred into the mental health service
- Working closely with the wider mental health team of 19
- Carry out clinical duties - venepuncture, screenings, ECGs etc
- Deliver low level interventions
- Provide outstanding quality based care to all patients
- Deliver personalised, non judgemental care, based on patient feedback
- Contribute to, and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics
- Assist with release and discharge when needed

Our new Wellbeing Coordinator will:
- Ideally have experience within mental health
- Clinical experience, such as venepuncture, ECGs etc would be highly desirable
- Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
- Ideally hold a NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, or equivalent - this isn't essential
- Experience within a forensic or prison environment would be a bonus
- Have a non-judgemental and compassionate approach
