Asbestos Contracts Manager

Reigart currently have a permanent vacancy for an experienced Asbestos Contracts Manager to join our team and provide administration and operational support within our Surveying Department.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in the Asbestos Removal Management Team.

Salary negotiable for the correct candidate.

This is a hands-on role that involves directly managing multiple ongoing projects and general asbestos management.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Confidently manage, control, and oversee all aspects of asbestos removal contracts.

  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation (Directors, Site Managers, Operatives, Sub-contractors).

  • Ensure projects meet high standards, are health & safety compliant, and maintain regular client liaison.

  • Maintain all compliance records for asbestos-related activities.

  • Handle incoming sales enquiries and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Compile risk assessments, method statements, and ASB5 & ASB1 notifications.

  • Communicate site-specific RAMS effectively to all site personnel.

  • Manage training requirements for all Asbestos related employees.

  • Oversee equipment servicing and maintenance schedules.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Contracts Manager role within a licensed Asbestos Removal Business.

  • Hold a valid ARCA (or equivalent) Licensed Contracts Manager Refresher, BOHS P402 or relevant Asbestos qualifications.

  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Health and Safety.

  • In-depth knowledge of current asbestos legislation and industry best practices.

  • Able to meet strict deadlines and prioritise workload effectively.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Knowledge of project software such as MS Project and CAD would be advantageous.

  • Strong communication, literacy, and organisational skills.

  • Thorough understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation; capable of producing RAMS and Plans of Work.

  • Proven management experience and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Full clean UK Driving Licence required.
