Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a clinical specialist Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join the Community Integrated Neurology Stroke Service (CINSS) within Leicestershire Partnership Trust. CINSS is a multidisciplinary community team comprised of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, psychologists, a neurorehabilitation consultant and technical instructors providing specialist rehabilitation and support to patients with neurological conditions and strokes across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Services are provided from a range of outpatient bases and in patients' own homes. This clinical specialist role will provide clinical and day to day leadership to the priority response team who work with patients who cannot wait for a routine appointment. This may include patients with urgent equipment needs, those who have had a stroke without hospital admission, and those with deteriorating neurological conditions such as Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
We are looking for someone with specialist clinical skills and experience of working in stroke and/or neurology who is committed to improving coordination of care and outcomes for patients. Experience of working in the community would be desirable. You would have responsibility for supporting and supervising the B6 occupational therapists and physiotherapists working in the priority response team, with support from the service leads. Excellent organisational, communication and team working skills are required both within the team and with wider healthcare agencies, patients and their families to co-ordinate and manage their care. You will be part of the wider CINSS leadership team and involved in training and developing staff.
The priority response team sits within the wider Community Integrated Neurology and Stroke Service, and as part of this team you will have access to a wide range of training and support, including in service training, team meetings, professional buddy groups and supervision. There is also a wide range of development opportunities offered across Leicestershire Partnership Trust, which continue to expand as the Trust has entered into a group model with Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust with shared training and development offers.
The team's hub is at Braunstone Health and Social Care Centre (BHSCC) with spoke bases in Loughborough, Hinckley, Market Harborough and Melton Mowbray. The base for this role will be negotiated with the successful candidate alongside working hours and pattern.
