IMMEDIATE START

We are a fully computerised dental practice providing both NHS and Private dental care in Brixton (SW9). We are seeking a professional and experienced Dental Receptionist who can also provide Dental Nurse support when required, to join our team 3 days per week.

This position suits someone with a minimum of 1 year's dental reception experience, due to the part-time working pattern, local candidates or those within a short commute are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for all patients, delivering a warm, professional, and efficient service
  • Manage all incoming enquiries including phone calls, emails, referrals, and appointment scheduling
  • Maintain a welcoming and well-organised reception area at all times
  • Support patient flow by efficiently managing diaries and minimising waiting times
  • Process patient registrations, update records accurately, and manage confidential information in line with GDPR
  • Assist clinicians, nursing staff, and management to ensure a seamless patient journey
  • Handle payments and administrative tasks, including scanning, filing, and liaising with suppliers
  • Address patient queries with confidence, escalating when appropriate
  • Provide chairside assistance when required, including preparing surgeries and sterilising instruments (training can be provided if needed)
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team, demonstrating reliability, compassion, and strong communication skills

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in dental reception
  • Dental Nurse experience or willingness to be trained is essential
  • Professional, well-presented, and committed to patient confidentiality
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask in a busy setting
  • Good computer literacy; experience with dental software is beneficial
  • Local applicants preferred due to part-time schedule

Job Type: Part-time (3 days per week), Contract
