Facilities Apprenticeship Tutor

Responsible to:
Team Leader and Company Directors

Scope:
To provide teaching, learning and assessment to a variety of learners (predominately Apprentices) recruited by Straight A Training, in numerous locations.

Job responsibilities:

Target meeting (as identified in Financial Plan):

  • Aim for 100% timely programme achievement.
  • A minimum of 35 learners at any one time (pro-rata).
  • Ensure that learner administration procedure is adhered to.
  • Actively seek to recruit new learners in accordance with eligibility requirements.
  • To support Straight A Training in achieving set strategic objectives.

Quality Assurance and Improvement:

  • Ensure that quality standards are maintained and upheld in regards to:

  • Quality of E-portfolios.

  • Quality of assessment.

  • Quality of learner documentation (sign-up process, timesheets, reviews, achievers, etc.).

  • Quality of coaching and learning.

  • Time management (including diary entries, timely achievers, timely enrolment).

  • Actively support developments and change within Straight A Training.

  • Keep up-to-date with Funding updates and Awarding Organisation requirement.

Communication and Liaison:

  • Compiling of accurate monthly progress reports, liaising with the Team Leader, for learners and workplaces in their area of responsibility.
  • Effective and professional communication with all relevant stakeholders.

Teamwork and Motivation:

  • To actively take part in team activities and projects, training and development.
  • To share best practice and provide support to other team members.

  • Holds a current teaching qualification or Trainers Certificate
  • Assessor qualification
  • Higher level of academic qualification
  • Full and clean driving licence
