Saxon Foods is looking to recruit for a Product Transfer Operative. This is a new role for the company and includes transferring product between the two sites which are located on the same industrial estate in Scunthorpe.

We are a family owned and run food manufacturing site selling mainly potato and pea products. We're now looking to expand our on-site team as factory production increases and we develop our new site on Foxhills Industrial Estate. Product Transfer Operative Monday-Friday 06:00 - 13:45

Driving license C1 (must have for 7.5t)

B1 FLT license (must have for counterbalance)

This role is to facilitate the smooth running of production across both sites as we expand and, as such, includes a wide variety of tasks which can vary on a daily basis. Flexibility and a 'can do' attitude are essential qualities in the successful candidate. There will also be various tasks that require heavy lifting and the ability to climb in and out of delivery vehicles to assist with loading stock for dispatch.

Job will include (but is not restricted to):

  • Decanting stock into dolavs for transportation
  • Loading and unloading dolavs to lorries
  • Transporting stock between sites
  • Loading stock to collection wagons - finished product and raw material
  • Completing/checking associated collection paperwork and delivery notes
  • Yard and site maintenance including lawn mowing, weeding etc.
  • Assisting in site maintenance projects where required
  • Assisting in factory production where opportunities arise
