As an Advice Quality Manager at Schroders Personal Wealth, you'll lead training and development for our Financial Advisers, supporting regulatory compliance through the Training & Competence scheme. You'll ensure high-quality advice for clients through oversight and risk mitigation, driving best practice across the business.

The Key Requirements…
- Qualified to at least QCF Level 4 and support provided towards Level 6 chartered, if desired
- Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
- Problem Solving – Identifying problems and working with Regional Managers and Advisers to create solutions
- Excellent communication skills – adapting your style to motivate and manage challenging conversations
- Coaching and feedback expertise to help advisers maintain and develop competence
- External financial and regulatory awareness to interpret changes and support implementation
Your day-to-day activities will include:
- Supervision and Coaching – Taking a holistic approach to adviser supervision, using a range of feedback and coaching techniques. You'll analyse Training & Competence (T&C) Management Information to identify development needs and tailor support for individuals and teams.
- Observing Best Practice – Encouraging advisers to adopt best use of tools and processes to deliver efficient, high-quality outcomes for clients.
- T&C Activities and Record-Keeping – Conducting 1:1 meetings, maintaining accurate supervisory records, and providing constructive feedback to help advisers improve and maintain competence.
- Risk Management and Compliance – Monitoring high-risk activities, escalating concerns to key stakeholders, and ensuring advisers adhere to their Statement of Professional Standing and regulatory requirements.
- Regulatory Awareness – Staying ahead of external financial and regulatory changes, interpreting their impact on advisers, and supporting the business in implementing necessary changes (e.g., Consumer Duty).
- Collaboration and Performance Management – Working closely with Regional Managers to maximise adviser performance, remove barriers, and help advisers achieve KPIs.
- Complaint Handling – Supporting investigations into regulated advice complaints and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure clear, fair outcomes.
- Promoting Culture and Values – Role-modelling SPW behaviours and fostering a client-focused, high-performance culture across the business.
- Personal Development – Evidence responsibility to maintain and continually develop their own level of personal and professional development and competency.
