Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in a local school in the evening, working 16:00-18:00. This job involves working term time only but you may be required to assist on a summer deep clean but this will be discussed nearer the time.

This job would suit someone who wants the holidays off with their children. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for children, staff and their visitors. If you have experience in cleaning and take pride in your work, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
  • Clean and sanitise restrooms, and communal areas to ensure high standards of hygiene.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stored correctly and used safely.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
  • Follow established cleaning protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve cleanliness goals within the designated timeframes.

Qualifications

  • Must have an Enhanced DBS - PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A ENHANCED DBS
  • Previous experience in cleaning is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills to understand instructions and report issues effectively.
  • A proactive approach towards tasks with a willingness to learn new techniques or methods.
