Project Manager – Key Accounts

(Laundry Installations, Groundworks & Construction Support)

About ME Group International plc

ME Group International plc operates, sells, and services a range of instant service equipment, including Wash.ME Laundry, photo booths, and children's rides, across more than 20 countries. With a proven history of innovation and over 18,000 machines in operation in the UK alone, ME Group leads the market in convenience-based automated services.

The company's Wash.ME Laundry division continues to grow rapidly across the UK and Europe. As part of this expansion, we are seeking a highly organised, commercially minded Project Manager for Key Accounts to oversee the delivery and coordination of major national partnerships—particularly with retailers and other high-value clients—and to support the successful execution of key projects that will shape the next phase of our commercial growth.

Role Function

To manage and deliver end-to-end installation projects for Wash.ME Laundry sites, ensuring all groundworks, utilities, installation activity and customer onboarding are executed to the highest standard.

Working closely with the Key Account Managers, Operations, Technical Teams and Contractors, you will ensure exceptional project coordination, customer experience, and safe, efficient delivery across the UK laundry network.

As the business continues to grow its national footprint, this role is central to improving installation timelines, communication, and customer satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities

Client & Site Owner Relationship Management

Understanding our high value site partners such as retailers, shopping centres, petrol forecourts, local authorities, universities, and landlords—is key to ensuring successful installation.

You will:

  • Build strong relationships with key accounts and site owners
  • Understand each site's layout, utilities, access constraints, planning requirements, and commercial goals
  • Provide updates throughout the pre-install, install and go-live process
  • Act as the main contact for issues, delays, queries or changes
  • Your ability to manage expectations and provide clear communication is essential to delivering a smooth and professional installation experience.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

You will work closely with:

  • Key Account Managers – to confirm commercial terms, scope and timelines
  • Groundworks & Civils Contractors – to schedule and oversee base construction, drainage, bollards, water supply and electrical connections
  • Operations & Technical Engineers – to coordinate machine installation, commissioning, testing and go-live
  • Marketing – to ensure signage, branding and customer information is correct and delivered on time
  • Senior Leadership – to provide reporting, updates and continuous improvement data
  • Coordination ensures that new laundry sites are delivered on time, on budget, and exceed customer expectations.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Installation & Groundworks Project Management
  • Manage the full installation lifecycle for new laundry units across the UK.
  • Conduct or organise pre-installation site surveys (power, water, drainage, access).
  • Prepare project plans, risk assessments and installation schedules.
  • Coordinate all groundwork activities: concrete bases, trenching, drainage, bollards, electrical intake and water supply.
  • Ensure contractors meet quality, safety and specification standards.
  • Track progress against timelines and resolve issues quickly.
  • Manage change control and communicate variations to customers and internal teams.
  • Oversee final installation, commissioning, signage and go-live.
  • Customer Communication & Coordination
  • Keep customers informed at every stage—survey, groundworks, installation, testing and launch.
  • Collect site feedback and resolve concerns promptly.
  • Ensure customers understand operational processes, marketing support and revenue expectations post-installation.
  • Commercial & Budget Responsibilities
  • Support budgeting and forecasting associated with installation costs.
  • Monitor contractor spend, variations and invoice accuracy.
  • Ensure value for money without compromising build quality or timelines.
  • Contribute to the development of installation strategy and best practices.
  • Quality, Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure all work meets:
  • internal installation standards
  • CDM/health & safety requirements
  • water and electrical regulations
  • site owner compliance needs
  • Report unusual activity, delays, hazards or contractor issues to management.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation and photographic records.
  • Post-Installation Responsibilities
  • Complete post-install checks, snagging and customer walk-throughs.
  • Ensure "Go Live" dates are met and systems are reporting correctly to HQ.
  • Support ongoing relationship building and identification of additional site opportunities.
  • You must be proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office and comfortable managing technical documentation, surveys, RAMS, schedules, and customer communication.

Requirements

Personal Attributes

  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Problem-solver with the ability to react quickly to site challenges
  • Professional, confident and proactive with excellent communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong commercial awareness

Technical Skills

  • Experience in installations, construction, civils, groundworks or utilities coordination
  • Ability to read/interpret site plans, surveys and groundworks drawings
  • Comfortable supporting customers with technical or operational queries
  • Strong IT skills, including Google Workspace tools, MS packages and project-tracking tools
  • Experience working with contractors and managing external stakeholders
