About the role

We are currently looking for an Assembly Technician to join our Gas Filled Detectors team to support the production of a range of Centronic products.

You will have qualifications or well-grounded experience in precision mechanical assembly and fitting, including brazing and experience of working with hazardous materials. Previous experience as an apprentice toolmaker, or toolmaker will be advantageous. You will be able to follow engineering drawings, mechanical assembly procedures and work to tight tolerances. To be successful in this role you must be a good problem solver and a team player with ability to proactively use your own initiative.

  • Manufacturing assemblies and sub –assemblies to Company and Client documentation.
  • Proactively contribute to meeting the order demand and individual and departmental targets.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of Lean manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain documentation fully completed and presentable to Clients.
  • Support both on and off site manufacturing and testing in line with production plans.
  • Assist with Client surveillance visits.

Candidates must be meeting the criteria to undergo Baseline security vetting (National security vetting: clearance levels - GOV.UK)
