Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation. Duties

  • Responsible for washing, cleaning, and sanitising all kitchen utensils, cookware, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
  • Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients.
  • Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of meals.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift.
  • Ensuring waste disposal is managed efficiently and recycling procedures are followed.
  • Restocking supplies and ensuring all kitchen areas are organised and tidy at all times.
  • Assisting with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service shifts.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and general kitchen safety practices is advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills with an eye for cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if required.
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn about culinary processes and hospitality operations.
