Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a vibrant restaurant environment. Your ability to upsell menu items and assist guests will enhance their dining experience while supporting the kitchen staff in food preparation.

Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
  • Take accurate food and drink orders while providing recommendations based on guest preferences.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring that all orders are delivered accurately.
  • Maintain knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer any guest inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations throughout service.
  • Assist in the preparation of food items as needed, supporting the kitchen team during busy periods.
  • Monitor tables for guest satisfaction and respond promptly to any requests or concerns.
  • Process payments efficiently while maintaining accurate records of transactions.
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure smooth operations within the restaurant.
  • Uphold a clean and organised work environment, including dining areas and service stations.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred; further training will be provided.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
  • Ability to upsell menu items effectively, enhancing both guest satisfaction and restaurant sales.
  • A passion for hospitality and providing exceptional service to guests is essential.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations is beneficial but can be taught on the job.
