We are seeking an experienced and talented hands-on General Manager with strong management and production experience to add to our growing team.
The General Manager will lead and drive all aspects of our cannabis operation. Provides direct oversight, coaching, and business direction to the facility. Provides guidance and direction to cultivation, processing, compliance, packaging, inventory management, and security teams.
Responsible for a 50,000 sq foot greenhouse cannabis facility.
Primary Job Duties:
  • Oversee all functions related to the day-to-day operations.
  • Drive daily performance accountability across all areas while reinforcing a team-oriented, client-focused approach.
  • In collaboration with department heads, creates work schedules and workflows for both weekday and weekend work (if applicable) allowing for adequate coverage for regular and holiday schedules.
  • Oversees the maintenance of the departments, premises, and equipment.
  • Coordinates the development of key performance goals for functions and direct reports.
  • Work closely with the QA department to ensure that all quality SOPs and systems are implemented to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures the team has all necessary supplies and resources for efficient operation.
  • Manage budgets and set monthly and quarterly goals.
  • Ensures standards for product quality; manufacturing costs and output; equipment and operator performance; and employee safety and housekeeping standards are established, monitored, and maintained.
  • Responsible for hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of facility personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior management/Board of directors.

Requirements:
Successful candidates will have proven experience and success in cannabis, pharmaceutical, industry with strong attention to detail, organization skills, and excellent communication skills to all parts of the organization. Additional qualifications include:
  • Must have valid HC Security Clearance.
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven Manufacturing Management and leadership experience within the cannabis / pharmacy industry required. Experience in the cannabis industry highly desired.
  • Familiarity with the Cannabis Act.
  • Strong written and communication skills with the ability to interact with every level of the organization.
  • Demonstrated success in leading manufacturing operations to achieve improved performance and profitability.
  • Experience in seed to sale software and/or ERP systems.
  • Strong computer and technical skills, experience with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
  • Demonstrated knowledge on managing and improving, employee safety, product quality, and packaging for consumers.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload across multiple simultaneous tasks, in a fast-paced work environment, while ensuring delivery of high-quality work and meeting timelines

Working Conditions:
Please note this is a greenhouse facility and our General Manager will be required to work in greenhouse conditions while wearing PPE (uniform, face mask, hair net, gloves, etc.). Greenhouse environments are subject to frequent changes in environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity. Our General Manager will also be constantly exposed to environmental allergens including cannabis, THC, CBD, pollen, etc.
