At BMS, we've been engaged by a rapidly expanding events business to recruit a Sponsorship Sales Manager. This role offers the chance to take ownership of two international exhibitions in the fast-moving semiconductor and electronics sectors.
The Company
Our client is a specialist B2B events and exhibitions company operating in the technology space. They produce market-leading shows focused on microelectronics, semiconductors, photonics, and embedded systems, connecting hardware manufacturers, OEMs, and solution providers from across the UK, Europe, and the US.
Having successfully launched new events and achieved strong rebook rates (75%+), the business is now entering a high-growth phase, expanding its Bristol operation and adding new features such as innovation hubs and skills zones.
Backed by a global parent company but run with the agility of a start-up, this is an opportunity to join a small, dynamic team where creativity, pace, and ownership are valued - and success is quickly recognised.
The Role
As a Sponsorship Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for driving new and repeat sponsorship and exhibition sales across two new events in the UK and US.
- Sell exhibition space and sponsorship packages to technology companies from scale-ups to multinationals.
- Manage a portfolio of clients across hardware, chip manufacturing, IoT, and OEM sectors.
- Prospect and self-source new business through calls, email, and LinkedIn.
- Focused on consultative, value-led selling.
- Sales cycles of 2-4 weeks.
- Work closely with the event director and marketing teams to shape commercial strategy.
This is a fast-paced role where creativity and relationship-building are key. You'll sell with energy and confidence while contributing ideas to develop new features and maximise event growth.
The Candidate
We're looking for an ambitious salesperson who has:
- 2+ years of commercial sales experience in events, exhibitions, or media.
- The ability to build long-term client relationships and sell solutions creatively.
- A proactive, positive approach - someone who thrives in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.
- Confidence engaging senior decision-makers - from founders and owners through to heads of marketing.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for the tech and innovation space.
