Position Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our growing Finance team at Advania UK. You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations for our business, working closely with colleagues to ensure accuracy and timeliness. The Finance Assistant role will suit someone looking to develop their finance career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Processing and reconciling purchase invoices, staff expenses and supplier payments
- Supporting month-end accounts preparation and journal entries
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and cash allocation tasks
- Updating financial records and maintaining accurate documentation
- Supporting credit control and debt collection routines
- Answering supplier and internal queries in a timely and professional manner
- Assisting with ad hoc finance projects as directed by the Finance Manager
Experience
- Numerate with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Previous experience in a finance, accounts or administrative role is desirable
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to prioritise, work to deadlines, and manage workload effectively
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Team player with a proactive approach and willingness to learn
- Knowledge of finance software (such as Sage, Xero or similar) is an advantage but not essential
