About Us:

First Draft Bar & Kitchen is an independent, queer-friendly cocktail bar in Norwich city centre. We take pride in creating a welcoming, inclusive space with high-quality drinks, creative events, and a focus on genuine hospitality.

The Role:

We're looking for a hands-on, reliable Bar Manager to oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the venue. This is a short-term contract role (initially 3 months), ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and thrives in a small, creative team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Running bar operations during service with confidence and professionalism
  • Creating and maintaining syrups, garnishes, and pre-batch mixes
  • Assisting with cocktail and seasonal menu development
  • Conducting and coordinating weekly deep cleans
  • Maintaining food safety standards throughout the venue
  • Ensuring consistent quality, presentation, and customer service
  • Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all guests
  • Working independently and taking ownership of the venue while on shift

About You:

  • Minimum 1 years of bar or cocktail experience (supervisory experience preferred)
  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for hospitality
  • Trustworthy, organised, and dependable
  • Confident working independently and taking initiative
  • Creative flair for drinks and presentation
  • Comfortable leading shifts and maintaining standards without direct supervision

Contract Details:

  • 3-month contract (possibility to extend)
  • Approx. 3–5 shifts per week
  • Competitive hourly rate depending on experience
  • Evening and weekend availability required
  • Christmas period availability - 23rd, 31st.

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract

Pay: £12.50 per hour
