Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members to implement care plans effectively. A driving licence is preferred for this position, as it may involve transporting residents for appointments or activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
  • Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in care practices.
  • Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being capable of working independently when required.
  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
  • A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents as needed.
