Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated night shift Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality support to individuals in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to enhance the lives of those in our care. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting residents with their needs throughout the night time, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Implement and follow care plans tailored to each resident's needs, maintaining accurate records of their progress.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other team members to provide updates on care and any concerns.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the care home environment.
  • Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential as training will be given.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
  • Understanding of documentation, both written and digital.
  • A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing excellent care.
  • Flexibility to work various nights to suit the needs of the home.
