Front of House & Customer Service Team Member

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly and organised Front of House team member to welcome guests, take orders, and provide excellent customer service in our Greek restaurant. This role also involves managing takeaway and delivery orders through platforms such as Deliveroo, Uber Eats, and Just Eat, as well as answering phone calls and handling bookings.

You will be the first point of contact for our guests, so a warm personality, attention to detail, and great communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service & Seating
  • Greet guests with a welcoming, friendly approach.
  • Manage table bookings and seating in the restaurant.
  • Provide menus, answer food questions, and make recommendations where needed.
  • Order Taking & Payment
  • Take food and drink orders accurately, in person and via phone.
  • Manage customer bills, handle payments, and ensure a smooth dining experience.
  • Delivery & Takeaway Management
  • Process and monitor orders from Deliveroo, Uber Eats, and Just Eat.
  • Package food orders correctly and ensure they are dispatched on time.
  • Communicate with kitchen staff regarding online and takeaway orders.
  • Restaurant Presentation
  • Maintain clean and organised dining and service areas.
  • Ensure tables are set, cleared, and prepared for guests promptly.
  • Communication & Teamwork
  • Assist the kitchen and management team with smooth service flow.
  • Provide helpful feedback from customers when needed.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous front-of-house or customer service experience is ideal (not essential).
  • Confident, friendly, and comfortable interacting with customers.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask during busy periods.
  • Comfortable using smartphones/tablets for delivery order platforms.
