The team regularly acts in court proceedings, adjudications, mediations, and international arbitrations, collaborating closely with specialists across real estate, non-contentious construction, and professional risk sectors.
The Team
The London construction disputes team handles sophisticated, high-profile matters spanning transport, engineering, energy, and infrastructure projects. The team has deep expertise in NEC and FIDIC contracts, alongside other standard forms, and combines technical excellence with a practical, commercially focused approach.

- Arbitrations (domestic and international)
- Expert determinations
- Large-scale adjudications
- Litigation
- Mediation, conciliation, and other ADR processes
The Role
The firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its London construction disputes team. You will work on high-value construction disputes across litigation, arbitration, and adjudication, advising a diverse client base of contractors, employers, and professionals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting and managing pleadings, contracts, and submissions for court, adjudication, and arbitration proceedings.
- Advising clients on complex construction disputes and risk issues.
- Collaborating with colleagues across offices and practice areas to provide integrated advice.
- Supporting business development initiatives and strengthening client relationships.
- Mentoring junior team members and contributing to the growth of the practice.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3–5 years post-qualified experience in construction disputes, ideally from a leading law firm with insurance or construction experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of NEC and FIDIC contracts; exposure to other standard forms advantageous.
- Current experience of the Technology & Construction Court (TCC) and adjudication; arbitration experience desirable, with familiarity of ICC, LCIA, and UCTA rules advantageous.
- Understanding of international enforcement and cross-border legal issues is beneficial.
- Excellent academic credentials and a commercially minded approach.
- Strong client focus, with the ability to contribute to business development in London.
- Enthusiastic, team-oriented attitude, with flexibility for occasional extended hours.
- Fire safety experience is a plus.
