At Waythrough, we rely on the professionalism, expertise, and compassion of our staff to support and inspire recovery. Welcome to Box Tree Farm, a mental health Crisis House offering crucial support to individuals experiencing a period of mental health distress. 

About the Role
Box Tree Farm is a 24-hour, 7-days-a-week, 365-days-per-year crisis support service for adults aged 18+. We provide a safe, supportive environment for people facing mental health challenges, empowering them to move forward with confidence and independence. Working hours are scheduled via a rota system and planned with our teams in advance.

We understand that recovery looks different for everyone. With the right support at the right time, recovery is possible, and that's where you come in.

What You'll Do
As a Recovery Worker, you will:

  • Support individuals to maintain independence within their community

  • Help service users develop personalised support plans

  • Encourage growth in areas such as daily living skills, budgeting, education, employment, and leisure activities

  • Create a positive, empowering environment focused on wellbeing and recovery

  • Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a dedicated team

What We're Looking For

Experience is welcome, but not essential Full training will be provided. More importantly, you will have:

  • A caring and compassionate nature

  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others

  • The ability to remain calm and proactive in challenging situations

  • Flexibility to work within a rota system, including on-call duties

  • Confidence working both independently and as part of a supportive team

  • An understanding of mental health issues and/or lived experience (desirable)
