Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a valid driving licence for 7.5 tonne vehicles and have a strong background in commercial driving. This role involves the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations, ensuring that all deliveries are completed on time and in accordance with company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle for the transportation of goods to designated locations
  • Ensure the vehicle is maintained in good condition and report any issues promptly
  • Conduct pre-journey checks to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road

Requirements

  • Valid UK driving licence for 7.5 tonne vehicles
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role
  • Familiarity with flatbed vehicles is advantageous
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
