Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Leicester Area for a Category Manager. The Category Manager will be responsible for managing assigned product categories, implementing sourcing strategies, and developing supplier relationships to optimize costs and drive business growth. Responsibilities include analyzing market trends, overseeing product lifecycles, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and identifying innovative opportunities to enhance category performance. The role also involves negotiating supplier agreements, ensuring product availability, and delivering exceptional service standards to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Category Management, Product Sourcing, and Supplier Relationship Management
  • Strong skills in Market Analysis, Trend Forecasting, and Strategic Decision-Making
  • Proficiency in Negotiation, Cost Optimization, and Contract Management
  • Collaboration and Communication skills for working with cross-functional teams
  • Analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in the building materials or manufacturing sector is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
